It is with great pleasure that I introduce to you many of the 2009 Graduating Class at Church Divinity School of the Pacific. This booklet profiles those who are our new church leaders, and I invite you to read their brief resumes and personal narrative statements so that you can see for yourselves the very gifted and talented group receiving degrees or certificates from CDSP this spring. Most have been or soon will be ordained to the diaconate, some are still in process with their parishes and dioceses, and a few seek opportunities as lay professionals. They are eager and ready to continue their journeys in ministry. We are indebted to the many clergy, lay mentors, parishes, bishops, Commissions on Ministry, Standing Committees, and communities of faith who have partnered with us in preparing these individuals for ministry in the 21st century. We hope you will share this booklet widely and especially with those who may have positions that might match the gifts and talents of these wonderful students. Even though some will be returning to their dioceses, most are willing and able to be open to where the Holy Spirit is leading them. Please feel free to contact me or them directly. As CDSP continues to prepare more church leaders for ministry in the world, please keep us in your prayers and especially pray for these ministers as they transition into the next chapter of their lives.
